Puppetry has been a recurring theme throughout my career as a designer. I find that working with found materials and simple methods is the most effective in puppetry. I have experience in foam patterning, marionette construction, and shadow puppetry. Over the course of my career, I have been fortunate to attend master classes at the National Puppeteers of America National Conference. In the spring of 2019, I received a Mellon Foundation Grant to research and incorporate various forms of puppetry into The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, for which my work was recognized with a Certificate of Merit from the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival, Region 5.
